In Arizona, there is a fund known as Larkin & Lacey Frontera Fund. It was established by two journalists, Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin. They are founders of Village Voice Media and the Phoenix New Times.

Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin initiated legal proceedings against the state and won the case in which they were awarded $3.75 million by the court of appeal.
They then decided to start a fund that would from then, support human rights groups in the state of Arizona. That’s how Larkin & Lacey Frontera Fund was created.
